LES FLAVEURS

French Band

Les Flaveurs French Band presents a delightful program of music that conveys the soul of French music, with its romance, artistic richness, and "joie de vivre!" The tunes alternately evoke scenes of charming sidewalk cafes, smokey cabaret shows, or pastoral Callic countryside.

The group's chanteuse is Elise Witt, who lovingly caresses the poetic French lyrics as she sings and plays the guitar. Born in Switzerland, and now residing in Atlanta, Elise is known nationwide for her warmth, rapport with audiences of all ages, and rich gleanings from international music. On accordion, Susan Clearman provides the haunting, shimmery sounds of the musette, a quintessential French timbre. Additional musicians on flute, saxophone, violin and bass complete the ensemble for journeying between the French jazz club and folk traditions.
